Job Summary

The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the shipyard\'s business growth and profitability by leading commercial strategies, managing client relationships, overseeing contract negotiations, and ensuring accurate cost estimations. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure and execute shipbuilding projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the marine and offshore sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, brokers, agents, and industry stakeholders.
  • Review and analysis of shipbuilding contracts
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including milestone payments, variations, and claims
  • Oversee the preparation of competitive and accurate tenders, quotations, and cost estimates.
  • Work closely with engineering, planning, and procurement teams to validate costs and lead times.
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales/tendering phase to execution team.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commercial roles within the marine, offshore, or shipbuilding industry.
