Job summary

A leading organization in sustainability initiatives is looking for a Manager (Programmes) focused on Nature-based Solutions in Singapore.   • Practical experience with financial instruments and project structuring is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head, Climate & Liveability, the Manager (Programmes) (Nature-based Solutions) has the following responsibilities:

  • Partnerships and Ecosystem Building: Build and maintain effective relationships and alliances with global and local partners/organisations to forge synergistic and effective collaborations for TF.
  • Project Development: Develop and structure innovative Nature-based Solutions projects, initiatives, and blended finance models that unlock catalytic impact for people and planet and that are aligned with the objectives, priorities and policies of TF.
  • Project Evaluation and Due Diligence: Conduct project evaluation, including environmental scans, research, and due diligence on partners and solutions.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor approved projects of TF. This includes monitoring project status to ensure the desired outcome has been met, producing timely reports to Management and Board of TF, managing the disbursements of project grants to ensure compliance in the areas of governance, standards and practices.
  • Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Head to ensure that the objectives of TF are met.
Requirements
  • Good degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy or related field
  • At least two years of relevant experience preferably in climate/development finance, climate investment, carbon markets or related areas
  • Practical experience with financial instruments, project structuring, and financial modeling is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, positive attitude, energetic, driven and resourceful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen understanding and passion for sustainability issues
