Job description

CIX is seeking a Client Development & Sales Manager to join our commercial team in Singapore. This role will support our mission to grow the carbon market and make a positive impact on the broader sustainability ecosystem.

The successful candidate will help drive revenue growth, manage client relationships, and support the expansion of CIX’s products across industries and markets. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of client accounts, supporting retention and long-term collaboration opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by identifying opportunities to introduce CIX’s products and services.
  • Identify and source new business opportunities by proactively engaging with buyers, sellers, or intermediaries across various environmental product markets
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities through outbound efforts, referrals, and market insights
  • Represent CIX independently, engaging with Chief Sustainability Officers and senior executives from multinational companies and global firms across various industries

Key requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ of work experience in the Commodity and/or Financial markets; with a strong focus in business development, sales and trading and/or brokerage.
  • Experience in the sustainability, carbon markets, or environmental services sector is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and prospecting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients.
  • Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills, with some experience in developing sales approaches or go-to-market initiatives.
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management.
