Job summary

Ocorian is seeking a Senior Client Accounting professional to work with the Head of Corporate Services and Senior Manager, Client Accounting. You will manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services while growing the team.

This role offers hybrid global exposure, opportunities to lead, mentor staff, and contribute to strategic initiatives. Proactive problem solving and strong regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or ACCA qualification, Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • 8+ years in Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), CPF, Corporate Income Tax, GST and related regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios, reviewing complex accounting deliverables and providing technical guidance to teams and clients.
  • Proficient in cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Navision.
  • Strong leadership and people management; able to coach, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management; build trusted relationships with clients, regulators and internal teams.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients delivering accounting, payroll, tax compliance and reporting.
  • Review financial statements and tax filings ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Build relationships with clients as trusted advisor on accounting matters.
  • Lead year-end audits coordinating with auditors and authorities.
  • Support business development and onboarding of new clients.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster collaboration.
  • Manage workloads and resources to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Provide technical guidance on Singapore accounting standards and tax.
  • Drive process improvements and using technology for efficiency.
  • Support risk management including KYC and governance.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives in Client Accounting.
  • Uphold and implement company policies; undertake additional duties.

Job Description

Purpose of the Job

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Services and Senior Manager, Client Accounting, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients and supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services. You will help lead and develop a collaborative team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth, efficiency and success of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise, people leadership and client engagement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of accounting, payroll, tax compliance, statutory reporting and related client services.
  • Review financial statements, management accounts, tax filings and GST submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and reporting standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for accounting, tax and operational matters.
  • Lead the coordination of year-end audits, liaising with auditors, tax authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of client deliverables.
  • Support business development initiatives by assisting with proposals, onboarding new clients and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team workloads, resources and performance to ensure deadlines, service standards and financial targets are consistently achieved.
  • Provide technical guidance on Singapore accounting standards, tax, payroll and regulatory requirements to both clients and team members.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, leveraging technology and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • Support risk management activities, including KYC compliance, governance requirements and adherence to Ocorian policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects that support the growth and success of the Client Accounting function.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities that support the needs of the business and clients.
Qualifications Required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or a professional qualification such as ACCA, with Chartered Accountant status preferred.
