RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly motivated salesperson to elevate the culinary experience at EXPO for our event organisers and delegates. You will work closely with the venue sales team and appointed expert panel of catering partners to deliver exceptional food offerings and service excellence. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and pursue commercial opportunities that empower our hirers to create successful, memorable events.

Sales & Business Development
  • Proactively research, solicit, and secure MICE and event‑related business—including large conventions, corporate meetings, association events, exhibitions, and incentive groups—with a strong focus on catering‑driven revenue opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of EXPO's curated culinary offerings by matching organisers' event objectives with suitable catering partners and menu concepts.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately forecast catering and banquet revenue in collaboration with venue sales and catering partners.
  • Participate actively in trade shows, industry events, and client engagements (locally and internationally) to promote EXPO's culinary capabilities and build strong relationships with planners, agencies, and corporate clients.
  • Develop compelling proposals, catering sales kits, and customised presentations that highlight the venue's diverse culinary options, operational flexibility, and service excellence.
Client & Account Management
  • Lead negotiations for catering packages and venue‑related culinary solutions, ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations and event requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for organisers seeking catering solutions—from initial inquiry through confirmation—ensuring a seamless and consultative sales experience.
  • Collaborate closely with catering partners to refine proposals, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely follow‑through on client needs.
  • Conduct thorough handovers to the Catering Operations, Banquet, and Event Planning teams, ensuring all catering requirements (e.g., dietary needs, thematic setups, service flows, VIP arrangements) are clearly communicated and executed flawlessly.
Strategy & Administration
  • Monitor market trends, client preferences, and competitor catering offerings to identify gaps and drive development of new menu concepts or service enhancements.
  • Analyse sales performance and prepare regular reports on catering‑related business activities, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and updated client, proposal, and event information within the CRM and internal sales systems.
  • Support the rollout of culinary marketing initiatives, including tasting sessions, product showcases, and collaborations with catering partners to enhance venue competitiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 4‑5 years of relevant experience in catering sales, banquet sales, hospitality sales, MICE, or event services.
  • Diploma and/or Degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management and/or Event Management related field.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, revenue generation, and managing key accounts.
  • Experience working with catering providers, hotels, banquet operations, or large‑scale event venues is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge, experience and ability to drive catering sales strategy, revenue forecasting, action plan, event P&L and to execute and manage indoor / outdoor catering events is necessary.
  • Competent in preparing proposals, contracts, and sales presentations.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Able to multi‑task, work under tight deadlines and in as fast‑paced working environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a high level of professionalism and service excellence mindset.
