J&J Innovative Medicine is looking for Manager, Business Intelligence – BI&A CoE.

The individual will serve as the regional subject matter expert on forecasting, ensuring harmonized models, robust assumption tracking, and predictive capability enhancement across therapeutic areas. This role will play a critical role in driving the adoption of patient-based forecasting (PBM) for must-win brands, enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency, and build volume-based forecasting capabilities for legacy brands using advanced time series and statistical approaches. The role also involves shaping and leading business planning and long-range financial planning (LRFP) processes across APAC.

The role requires close collaboration with TA Insights BI&A colleagues in markets and region, and Business Unit teams, Finance, cross-functional partners, and external vendors to establish forecasting best practices, improve business planning process efficiencies, and forecast accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Forecasting Leadership
  • Lead APAC business planning and LRFP processes for priority brands.
  • Establish and maintain harmonized patient-based forecasting models for must-win brands, capturing and validating key assumptions.
  • Drive the development and implementation of volume-based forecasting models for legacy brands leveraging advanced time series techniques.
  • Ensure alignment of forecast methodologies with global standards while addressing APAC market nuances.
2. Forecast Process Excellence & Insights
  • Define and implement cadence for forecast tracking, actualization, and accuracy measurement.
  • Analyze forecast variances, identify drivers, and recommend improvements.
  • Apply advanced analytics and predictive modeling to enhance forecast robustness.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline forecasting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Best Practice Development
  • Serve as an authority in forecasting within APAC BI&A.
  • Partner with BI&A and Business Unit teams to embed forecasting best practices.
  • Facilitate cross-market knowledge sharing to promote model adoption and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Finance to integrate forecasts into financial planning cycles.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with commercial, medical, finance, and analytics teams to align forecasting with strategic priorities.
  • Integrate market intelligence, competitive insights, and epidemiology into the forecast process.
  • Aggregate market submissions into APAC-level forecasts for decision-making.
5. Technology, Vendor & Platform Management
  • Manage forecasting platform vendors, ensuring optimal system performance and enhancements.
  • Partner with global and regional teams on forecasting tool upgrades and scalability.
  • Oversee documentation, governance, and version control of forecasting models.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics, forecasting, or commercial planning in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in patient-based and volume-based forecasting methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical forecasting techniques (time series, regression, ARIMA, ML approaches).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel with deep experience in complex Excel models and large data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, interpret data, and process observations into actionable recommendations
Preferred:
  • Experience in APAC markets with understanding of diverse healthcare systems.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools, statistical packages, and data integration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire change and establish standard processes in a matrixed environment.
