Job description

The Manager, Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities that support the strategic growth of Kingsmen’s Location Based Entertainment (LBE) business across the APAC region. The role requires a commercially minded individual who can build strong networks, collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, and drive engagement activities to secure new partnerships, projects, and revenue streams.

A Day in the Life:
  • Formulate and implement lead generation strategies to build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities within the APAC region.
  • Plan and execute marketing and outreach activities to grow brand visibility and generate new inquiries.
  • Develop and execute medium to long-term business growth strategies for the LBE portfolio.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of market trends, competitor positioning, client developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop customised business proposals, pitch presentations, and project introduction packages tailored to specific markets and target stakeholders, including property developers, investors, promoters, tourism bodies, and entertainment operators.
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with prospective partners and clients with a focus on value creation and long-term collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including in-house design studio (KR+D), LBE Project Management, Intellectual Property Acquisition, Finance, and Regional Offices to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Participate in internal networking and knowledge sharing to stay informed on Kingsmen capabilities and recent project showcases.
  • Support the monitoring and follow through of secured opportunities leading up to activation and execution, including assisting with on ground event or showcase support where required.
  • Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and cost estimation exercises where appropriate.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by Management in support of business objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales, marketing, or business development role in a Business to Business (B2B) environment.
  • Exposure to the APAC region, ideally with experience engaging investors, property developers, retail groups, tourism boards, entertainment operators, or event promoters.
  • Experience or familiarity with Intellectual Property related projects within leisure, tourism, entertainment, or exhibitions will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of commercial considerations such as pricing, costing, and value propositions.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment that involves cross functional collaboration and multi market coordination.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
  • Confident in preparing and delivering presentations, pitches, and proposal materials.
  • Comfortable building rapport and maintaining positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple discussions and opportunities at different stages.
  • Analytical and curious mindset, with the ability to observe trends and translate market insights into business considerations.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with others across various functions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different cultural and business environments across the region.
