Job summary

The Ministry of National Development (MND) in Singapore invites early-career professionals to join its Corporate Strategy team. You will work with senior leaders to translate housing, land use, urban development and infrastructure issues into clear strategic papers and discussions.

This role offers exposure to how strategic issues are framed and progressed at the senior leadership level, across the MND Family, and provides a rare opportunity to build a whole-of-system perspective and enterprise

What the role is:

Join MND’s Corporate Strategy team and work with senior leadership to tackle complex, cross-cutting challenges that shape Singapore’s built environment – from housing and land use to urban development, infrastructure, municipal services, technology and resilience. From supporting medium- to long-term strategic planning to navigating emerging risks, you will help translate issues and trade-offs into clear insights for senior decision-making, while building strong foundations in strategy, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement early in your career. Join the team that shapes how the MND Family thinks about its future. As part of the Corporate Strategy team, you will help MND Senior Management make sense of complex, cross-cutting or emerging issues, connect perspectives across the MND and its Statutory Boards (i.e. MND Family), and align stakeholders around strategic priorities. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to how strategic issues are framed, discussed and progressed at the senior leadership level, across a wide range of challenges spanning housing, land use, urban development, municipal services, technological change, risk and resilience, while building strong foundations in strategy, stakeholder management, and enterprise risk governance.

What you will be working on:

• Shape strategic priorities and decision-makingSupport the development and refinement of the MND Family’s medium- to long-term priorities (5–10 years) by structuring issues, synthesising perspectives, and translating strategic considerations into clear papers and discussions.
• Drive cross-cutting strategy projectsLead and structure blue sky initiatives that cut across divisions and agencies - bringing together different perspectives to tackle current and emerging system-level challenges, such as public service experience in an AI-driven society.
• Shape senior leadership platformsHelp design and drive key forums (e.g. senior management retreats and strategic discussions), ensuring that conversations are focused on the most critical issues and lead to clear outcomes.
• Strengthen organisational resilienceIdentify emerging risks and vulnerabilities, and work with stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance the MND Family’s ability to respond to a rapidly changing environment.
• Track what mattersDevelop and refine ways to monitor progress on key priorities, ensuring leadership has a clear, honest view of where things stand - and where course corrections are needed.
