Primary Purpose
The Manager, Asia Order Management System (OMS) will be responsible for core design, development, and delivery of Tapestry’s Order Management Omnichannel Solutions. This Specialist will be an expert with the IBM Sterling Order Management Application Suite and will be responsible for providing solutions that are optimized for scale, growth, and high performance. This Specialist demonstrates technical expertise, effective communication skills, and hand‑on experience in a consultative role to product and engineering teams. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Commerce Solutions Development.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions within the Sterling Order Management Suite of Applications
- Evaluate, design, scope, and document integration effort for new products, processes, technologies, and solutions.
- Diagnose complex technical and business problems and provide creative solutions.
- Design and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation across a multi‑brand, multi‑region Omnichannel environment.
- Work closely with Global IT teams and consultants.
- Perform Impact Analysis across enterprise systems as well as third‑party solutions and provide high‑level cost and effort estimates for all major initiatives.
- Develop technical implementation plans and timelines with key engineering stakeholders and enterprise standards.
- Align the platform vision and overall roadmap with the technical requirements of the stack.
- Communicate technical needs and limitations clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability architecting multi‑tenant platforms, across a variety of Sterling OMS implementations.
- Exposure to trending front‑end technologies to improve user experience for Store and Call center associates and emerging IBM Supply Chain products (e.g., IV/SIP, Fulfillment Order Optimizer, Business User Controls) that will fit the technology landscape.
- In‑depth development experience with Core Order management modules – DOM, GIV, SC, Platform, Payments, COM, and SOM.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms: SAP, Demandware/SFCC, POS, ESB, CRM, Analytics etc.
- Deep understanding and working experience with Integration concepts (REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, API Gateways)
- Development experience in JavaScript (Node.js, React, and Angular.js), Java, SQL, XML, JSON, micro‑services etc.
- Exposure to PII & PCI security, compliance policies
- Working experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, BitBucket
- Experience working in a fashion / multi‑brand environment.
- Experience with hosted solutions on the Cloud / IBM Cloud on Commerce
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence and business process automation would be good to have
Requirements
- Overall, 7‑10 years of industry experience and minimum 5 years of IBM Sterling Order Management Development multi‑implementation experience
- Agile Scrum implementation methodology
- Strong understanding of Omnichannel ecosystems and processes that include end‑to‑end data flows and processing from multi‑channels, fulfilment, payments, customer service, and other back‑end systems.
- Ability to multi‑task and successfully function in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Communicate effectively to IT management as well as business area experts with skills such as empathetic and active listening, and clearly articulate solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Business, or a related field
