JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the role is to lead and cultivate a culture of innovation at Woodlands Health by implementing strategic initiatives that promote creativity, collaboration, and the adoption of innovative ideas through project management. This involves engaging staff through educational programs, facilitating partnerships with innovative companies, and support administration of financial resources to support innovative projects, enhancing the organization’s capacity for continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific

  • Lead and manage the comprehensive project management of AI and Innovation projects/initiatives, focusing on trial execution and project scaling.
  • Plan and conduct master classes, seminars, and workshops led by industry experts to provide staff with insights into innovative practices and emerging trends in healthcare.
  • Coordinate visits and exchanges with leading innovative companies to expose staff to best practices and cutting-edge technologies in the healthcare sector.
  • Establish and support the management of an innovation fund to provide financial resources for staff to pursue innovative projects aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Initiate grant calls for innovation projects, encouraging staff to submit proposals that stimulate creativity and collaboration within the prescribed criteria.
  • Develop and implement an annual awards program to recognize and reward significant innovative contributions from individuals or teams.
  • Map out the innovation portfolio of the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) and identify synergies with Woodlands Health’s objectives, facilitating effective collaboration and resource utilisation.
  • Organize joint workshops with CHI to define common goals and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
  • Drive the creation of a Playbook (Standard Operating Procedures) to support users in the end-to-end process in raising requests through the WISH platform.
  • Execute the development of the annual workplan and budget for the AI and Innovation Office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, training and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or business administration
  • Experience in healthcare innovation, project management, or organizational development is essential, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a relevant role.
  • Familiarity with design thinking, digital health technologies, and patient-centered care practices is advantageous.
