Job description

The Manager, Active Ageing Centre (AAC) directs and guides the operations of Vanguard’s AAC, ensuring delivery of its core functions and services to support seniors in staying active, healthy, and socially connected. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining centre operations and standards, driving community engagement, and fostering partnerships. He/She also promotes teamwork and a positive work culture among staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Centre Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee daily AAC operations, ensuring safety, incident management, and compliance with AIC/MOH guidelines and organisational SOPs.
  • Ensure quality and effective delivery of AAC core functions and services, while achieving established participation targets.

2. Community Activation & Engagement

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies, including home visits and befriending activities for socially isolated seniors.
  • Strengthen ties with grassroots, partners, and volunteers; enhance visibility of AAC through events and campaigns.

3. Partnership Development & Integration

  • Build collaborations across health and social care networks to embed preventive health and community support into AAC programmes.
  • Coordinate referrals and partner initiatives, including community health posts and care transitions, for seamless client handovers.

4. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers; foster teamwork and continuous learning.

5. Performance Monitoring & Improvement

  • Track KPIs, report outcomes, and implement service enhancements.
  • Undertake other duties to support care integration and community engagement.
Qualifications
  • General Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or health-care related field (e.g. Nursing, Allied Health, Gerontology, or Social Work)
