Job summary

Keppel Club, The is seeking a diligent golf course maintenance assistant to support the Golf Course Superintendent in keeping the 18-hole course in top condition.

The role involves hands-on outdoor work, operating maintenance equipment, and routine upkeep of bunkers, greens and drainage systems. You will join a team that works six days a week, including weekends and public holidays, in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive outdoor work.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to follow instructions and work procedures safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist Golf Course Manager in care, upkeep and maintenance of the 18-hole course.
• Maintain course infrastructure including bunkers, fairways, greens, drainage and other course areas.
• Perform turf and grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking and repairs.
• Operate maintenance equipment safely across terrains.
• Carry out routine cleaning and proper storage of equipment and machinery.
• Assist with landscaping and course improvements as required.
• Provide setup and operational support for Club events.
• Undertake required maintenance or technical duties when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.

Job description

Duties:

1. Assist the Golf Course Manager in the care, upkeep and maintenance of the Club’s 18-hole golf course.


2. Assist in the maintenance of course infrastructure and facilities, including bunkers, fairways, greens, drainage systems and other course areas.


3. Perform turf and grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking and repairs.


4. Operate buggies and golf course maintenance equipment safely and responsibly across different terrains.


5. Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and proper storage of equipment and machinery, ensuring good housekeeping standards.


6. Assist with general landscaping, course improvement and other maintenance works as required.


7. Provide set-up and operational support for Club's events.


8. Undertake required maintenance or technical duties when required.


9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on, labor-intensive work, including bending, lifting, standing, pushing, pulling and climbing.


• Hands-on, responsible and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.


• Able to follow instructions and established work procedures.


• Able to operate and handle equipments safely and responsibly.
