Job summary

A leading food company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer to perform internal audits, ensure food safety standards, and engage with external auditors. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Food Technology or related fields and possesses strong communication and independent working skills. Relevant experience in food safety management is a plus. Competitive remuneration is offered.

Qualifications

  • Relevant knowledge and training in food safety management systems like HACCP, SS590, ISO22000.
  • Prior working experience or internal audit courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily internal audit for retail outlets and central kitchens.
  • Ensure food produced is safe and fit for consumption.
  • Troubleshooting of non-conformance.
  • Engagement with external auditor and vendors regarding food safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform daily internal audit for retail outlets and central kitchens
  • Ensure food produced is safe and fit for consumption as well as of good quality
  • Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness of food processing facilities and premises are of high standards
  • Troubleshooting of non-conformance
  • Planning of food sampling, surface and hand swabs
  • Provide feedback to management on how to continually improve our internal food safety management system
  • Engagement with external auditor / inspector and vendors with regards to food safety and hygiene
  • Updating and maintenance of food safety & hygiene manual, documents and files
  • Review, update and/or develop SOPs
  • Any other ad-hoc projects assigned by superior
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Food Technology/Food Science/Food Production
  • Candidates with relevant knowledge, training and experience in food safety management systems like HACCP/SS590/ISO22000 (WSQ qualifications/prior working experience/internal audit courses) would also be considered
