Job summary

A leading healthcare company in Singapore is seeking a Management Associate on a 2-year contract, potentially transitioning to a permanent role. Responsibilities include supporting the accounting team with vendor payments and reconciliations, reviewing expense transactions, and preparing financial reports. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related fields and be proficient in Excel. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
  • Experience in Oracle accounting system would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounting team in handling vendor payments and staff reimbursement.
  • Review expense transactions for correct classification and accounting.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and support GL close process.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues.

Job description
Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:
  • Support the Accounting team in handling vendor payments and staff reimbursement

  • Review expense transactions to ensure they are correctly classified and accounted for in the General Ledger.

  • Support the month-end GL close process by ensuring monthly journals entries are prepared accurately and recorded on a timely basis.

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts as assigned

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports

  • Work with various stakeholders to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues identified.

  • Work closely with other team members to support insurance-related finance operational activities relating to premium and commissions

  • Support the Accounting Supervisor and wider finance team in various ad hoc projects.

  • Assist in other general day-to-day finance operations and control activities as required

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics or related field

  • Experience in Oracle accounting system would be advantageous but not essential

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is a must

*The Management Associate role is a 2-year contract position, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role upon successful completion of the 2-year contract.
