Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Singapore is seeking a Compactor Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance of compactors. You will be tasked with attending to breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance while providing training to customers. Qualifications include a Nitec in Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and a valid driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
  • Able to work on weekends/public holidays according to roster.
  • Preferably with valid class 3 driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to onsite daily compactor breakdowns including after hours.
  • Carry out on-site preventive maintenance of the compactors.
  • Provide on-site training for the handling of the equipment.

Job description
Purpose and Scope

Responsible for Compactor maintenance from preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance till breakdown service call. You will work closely with the workshop supervisor to ensure all the key task for Compactor is upkeep to the optimal performance and professional standard.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attend to onsite daily compactor breakdown including after office hour breakdown call when required. Ensure all breakdowns & repairs are rectified promptly.
  • Carry out the on-site preventive maintenance of the compactors.
  • Provide on-site training & advice on the handling and operation of the compactor/equipment to customer.
  • Follow-up on the repair of compactor in-house for cases cannot be done on site.
  • Inform customer & put-up Service Report Form after completing each repair.
  • Carry out periodic spare parts stock take updating in the service vehicle.
  • Ensure all HSE requirement and Safe Work Procedure (SWP) are followed.
  • Coordinate with operations on equipment repair status.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum Nitec in Engineering or related courses.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
  • Able to understand the functional of hydraulic system and able do troubleshooting on the hydraulic system.
  • Able to understand PLC programming and able to do amendment to the PLC program.
  • Able to understand STAR/DELTA system for 3 phase power supply.
  • Equipped with mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Preferably with valid class 3 driving license.
  • Able to work on weekends/ public holidays according to roster.
