Job Summary
As Maintenance Service Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of software, mechanical, electrical & electronics, and systems engineers and managers to support the Ops & Support (O&S) project. Your role includes maintaining operational systems and equipment and providing on-site engineering support.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance following detailed maintenance instructions and procedures to ensure system reliability
- Diagnose faults in operational systems and provide actionable recommendations to System Lead, Team Lead, or Service Managers for corrective or remedial actions
- Support System Lead, Team Lead and Service Managers in achieving SLA and KPI targets aligned with maintenance contractual agreements
- Participate as on-site engineer during sea trials to support equipment deployment and validate system performance
- Deliver training sessions to clients on system and hardware integration procedures, implementation, and usage to enhance client operational capability
- Assist System Lead and Team Lead in installation, checkout, integration, and testing (ICIT) activities for assigned projects to ensure successful system commissioning
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution in a dynamic work environment
- Liaise with Procurement and equipment vendors to support timely acquisition and maintenance of necessary materials and tools
- Travel to multiple sites within Singapore to perform maintenance and support activities as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent discipline with minimum of 3-4 Years related experience.
- Ability to perform duties effectively in outdoor environments
- Prior experience in system-level maintenance, preferably with communications systems
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field
- Possession of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certifications for workshop operations, such as Work-at-Height and Forklift Operator
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to document maintenance activities and prepare reports
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with teams and clients
