Job summary

A leading industrial company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure optimal functionality of production machines. The role requires managing maintenance activities, leading a team, and addressing electrical and mechanical issues. Ideal candidates should have 10-15 years of experience and a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential for this position.

Job description

Ensure production machines run an optimal state and to meet the machine related KPIs

Manage the electrical / electronic / mechanical aspects of maintenance and repair activities

Performing preventive maintenance program on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis in responding effectively to breakdowns, monitoring equipment performance and collection of machine metrics data to help maintain process yields and efficiencies

· Design and upkeep an electrical / electronic / mechanical spares inventories system

· Develop and maintain an electrical / electronic / mechanical suppliers maintenance / repair support system

· Develop new machines and facilities by specifying, discussion with suppliers and performing buyoffs

· Execute, install and commission new machines and facilities capabilities

· Handling and managing the budget for maintenance activities, ensuring all expenses are in line with organizational goals.

· Leading and motivating a team of maintenance staff, distributing tasks, and providing training and in-house coaching and external courses to staff

· Acting as a leader during emergencies and equipment failures to coordinate quick solutions and minimize disruptions.

· Design and achieve machines’ reliability metrics to ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory, safety, building, and environmental standards.

· Identifying trends, proposing process improvements, and implementing risk assessment measures to enhance facility maintenance and safety.

Job Requirements :

Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or higher

10 to 15 years' experience in maintenance and repair of machines

Strong competencies in electrical / electronic and other technical systems maintenance and repairs

Systematic and detail-oriented approach to planning and managing maintenance procedures

Having good electrical knowledge and proficient hands-on skills for troubleshooting, repairs of faulty PCB’s and temperature controllers

Provide close loop feedback on control systems, pressure controllers and servo motor drives, power inverters, AC/DC drives, relays, contactors, electric circuits, PLCs. HMI, electrical cabinets, power supplies, motion controllers, PLC controllers

Ability to diagnose issues and coordinate quick, effective solutions and experienced in working with electrical / electronic repair suppliers

Demonstrated experience in supervisory and team leading skills

Able to work independently and outside normal hours
