Job summary

Temasek is seeking a Vice President to join the Portfolio Risk team in Singapore. You will lead macro, geopolitical and thematic stress scenario analyses, frame investment questions, and drive end-to-end scenario workstreams.

The role involves shaping monitoring frameworks and guiding senior decisions. You will assess how macro and geopolitical themes affect portfolio fundamentals, lead quantitative modelling, and coach junior team members to produce rigorous inputs for review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant discipline.
• Deep understanding of company and industry fundamentals, including revenue drivers, cost structures, margins, earnings, cash flow, balance sheets, and valuation.
• Demonstrated ability to connect macro, geopolitical, or thematic events to sectors, industries, and company fundamentals.
• Programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar tools are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research emerging macro, geopolitical, policy, technological, regulatory, and structural themes that could materially affect the portfolio.
• Develop scenario narratives and recommend risks to prioritize for the team.
• Frame analytical questions and transmission channels, identifying key risk drivers.
• Lead selected scenario workstreams from hypothesis through portfolio implications.
