Job description

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and repairs software controlled electro-mechanical systems

Coordinates administrative activities including: Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems like, pumps, chillers, gearboxes

Provide maintenance on various equipment – gas burners, various ovens, vacuum systems, brake press, roll form, friction stir weld, spin lathe

Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems like pumps, chillers, gearboxes

Possess full knowledge of all standard measuring equipment including the proper use of micrometers, calipers, comparators and various plug/thread gauges blueprint reading

Completing periodic machine tool preventative maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliable performance

Interfacing daily with machinists, replacement part providers, support staff and management to quickly resolve equipment issues and implement future capital

Other production oriented tasks (product assembly, tool grinding, welding, machining) as schedule permits

Qualifications for machine technician

Complete all company mandated training as required

Must successfully complete all technical, administrative, and interpersonal training programs to satisfy Participative Work Team objectives and become a multi-skilled team member

2-year technical with 3 years’ experience supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment

Ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple duties
