Job description

As a UX Designer, you'll be at the forefront of understanding complex user needs across diverse stakeholder groups. You'll conduct deep user research to uncover pain points in current conveyancing processes and translate these insights into transformative digital experiences. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our digital platform not only solves real problems but fundamentally improves how thousands of property transactions are conducted annually in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

You will be involved in driving user-centred design across the full product lifecycle including the following:

  • User Research and Stakeholder Engagement - Lead comprehensive user research across the complex conveyancing ecosystem including property buyers, sellers, lawyers, bankers, and property agents. Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and observational studies to understand diverse user needs, pain points, and workflows across different stakeholder groups.
  • Problem Definition and Strategic Questioning - Ask the right questions to uncover the real problems that need solving. Challenge assumptions about current processes and identify opportunities where digital solutions can create meaningful impact. Translate complex stakeholder requirements into clear problem statements that guide design decisions.
  • Process Analysis and Redesign - Analyse existing conveyancing processes to identify inefficiencies and user friction points. Use research insights to recommend process improvements and design solutions that streamline workflows whilst maintaining regulatory compliance and security requirements.
  • Experience Design and Prototyping - Create user journey maps, service blueprints, and wireframes that address identified problems. Develop and test prototypes with real users to validate design solutions before development. Ensure designs accommodate the needs of multiple user types within a single integrated platform.
  • Collaborative Design Leadership - Work closely with product managers, engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure user needs remain central to product decisions. Facilitate design thinking workshops and co-creation sessions with stakeholders to build consensus around user-centred solutions.
  • Continuous User Validation - Establish ongoing user feedback mechanisms and conduct usability testing throughout the product lifecycle. Use data and user insights to drive iterative improvements and ensure the platform continues to meet evolving user needs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field with minimum 5 years of relevant UX design experience. Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for more senior roles.
  • Proven experience in user research methodologies including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic research
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across diverse user groups and complex organizational structures
  • Experience in process analysis and service design, particularly in regulated industries or government contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user research insights into actionable design recommendations and process improvements
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar platforms
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with product managers and engineers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to ask probing questions that uncover root causes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies and facilitation skills
  • Portfolio demonstrating user research-driven design solutions and process improvements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, legal tech, or property-related digital products
  • Knowledge of Singapore's regulatory environment or government digital services
  • Relevant certifications in UX research or service design
