Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, integration, modernisation, and delivery of a next-generation FM digital platform.

You will provide technical leadership across platform services, cloud architecture, application modernisation, system integrations, and software engineering practices, guiding teams through migration while establishing a scalable, secure, and maintainable foundation for future digital services.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, technical leadership, solution architecture, or platform development.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms or mission-critical systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall platform architecture, technical principles, standards, and roadmap.
• Lead the design and implementation of core platform capabilities, including authentication, SSO, RBAC, administration, workflows, notifications, and shared services.
• Provide technical direction and governance across multiple delivery teams.
• Establish architecture standards and review processes for scalability, security, maintainability, and consistency.
• Evaluate technical options and recommend architecture and technology solutions.
• Lead technical discovery and assessment of existing applications and services.
• Define migration strategies, architecture patterns, and implementation approaches for migrating legacy apps.

• Review solution designs, code, APIs, and technical deliverables for quality and alignment.
• Champion engineering best practices across DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability and IaC.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues and provide hands-on guidance.
• Drive continuous improvement in software engineering practices, delivery efficiency and platform reliability.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Define API standards, integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and data exchange mechanisms.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, integration, modernisation, and delivery of a next-generation Facilities Management (FM) digital platform.

The role will provide technical leadership across platform services, cloud architecture, application modernisation, system integrations, and software engineering practices. You will guide engineering teams through the migration and transformation of existing applications while establishing a scalable, secure, and maintainable platform foundation for future digital services.

You will work closely with product managers, service designers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Define and maintain the overall platform architecture, technical principles, standards, and roadmap.
• Lead the design and implementation of core platform capabilities, including authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO), role-based access control, administration, workflows, notifications, and shared services.
• Provide technical direction and governance across multiple delivery teams.
• Establish architecture standards and review processes to ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and consistency.
• Evaluate technical options and recommend appropriate architecture and technology solutions.

Application Modernisation & Migration

• Lead technical discovery and assessment of existing applications and services.
• Define migration strategies, architecture patterns, and implementation approaches for transitioning legacy applications to the new platform.
• Guide engineering teams in application modernisation and backend service redesign.
• Ensure seamless integration between platform services, migrated applications and external systems.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to migration, cutover, data integrity and operational continuity.

Software Engineering & Delivery

• Lead solution design, technical implementation planning, and engineering execution across platform and application teams.
• Review solution designs, code, APIs, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with architecture standards.

• Design secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective cloud‑native solutions.
• Define API standards, integration patterns, event‑driven architectures, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Provide technical oversight for cloud infrastructure, environments via deployment pipelines, monitoring, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with data and AI teams to enable analytics, automation, AI‑powered services and enterprise reporting capabilities.
• Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity, governance, architecture and data management requirements.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

• Work closely with product managers and service designers to translate business and user requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate technical options, trade‑offs, risks, and delivery implications to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach engineers and strengthen engineering and architecture capabilities across delivery teams.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants and implementation partners where required.
• Support technical resource planning, capability development and delivery governance.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, technical leadership, solution architecture, or platform development.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms or mission‑critical systems.
• Strong experience in solution and platform architecture, distributed systems, and modern software engineering.
• Experience leading complex application modernisation, migration, and system integration initiatives.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑native architecture.
• Experience designing API‑driven architectures, microservices, and enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of authentication, identity management, RBAC, SSO, and enterprise security architecture.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to balance architecture and strategic decision‑making with hands‑on technical leadership.
• Experience with data integration, analytics platforms, workflow engines or AI‑enabled applications would be advantageous.
• Experience with public sector, enterprise platforms or large‑scale operational systems would be advantageous.
