Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a candidate for site supervision of mechanical and electrical installations at Jurong East Polyclinic & Nursing Home. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and a diploma or trade certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with local regulations and hands-on knowledge of installation work is required. This position offers an opportunity to work on important healthcare development projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in building services supervision.
• Preferably registered with IES as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Familiar with installation testing and report preparation.

Job description

Required for site supervision of mechanical & electrical installations at Jurong East Polyclinic & Nursing Home.

Possess a Diploma issued by a local polytechnic or Trade Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from the ITE or BCA and preferably registered with IES (Institution of Engineers Singapore) as a Resident Technical Officer.

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in building services in the supervision of mechanical & electrical installations (including Fire Fighting and Alarm Installations) for local institutional/healthcare development.

Must be familiar with local Regulations/Codes for mechanical & electrical installations (or services) related to building projects.

Hands-on knowledge of installation work, able to identify poor installation practices, and bad workmanship.

Know how pre-commissioning and commissioning tests are being carried out and interpret test results.

Diligent in walking the site to check for non-conformity and bad installation practices.

Able to prepare progress and defects report using Microsoft Words, Excel, AutoCAD and Adobe.
