Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced M&E Manager to oversee and manage all mechanical and electrical works in projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years of experience in main contractor or subcontractor roles and must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $8000 to $10000 monthly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Main Contractor or Subcontractor.
• Preferably have project experience in condominiums, commercial buildings, data centres, or AEI projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all M&E works are performed on time and comply with standards and safety regulations.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on M&E matters.
• Coordinate and lead the site team to ensure quality performance meets specifications.
• Attend project site meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure timely submission of M&E shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Oversee M&E staff, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved plans.
• Check site M&E Variation Order and report M&E progress.
• Attend site inspections and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Review consultant specifications and drawings to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage M&E monthly meetings and oversee all M&E matters.
• Resolve M&E issues during the DLP period.
• Involve in D&B projects with consultants and architects.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Ensure all M&E works are performed on time, in compliance with standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations.
2. Liaise, coordinate, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors on M&E matters or challenges to ensure projects run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.
3. Coordinate and lead the site team, including M&E engineers, structural engineers, and architectural coordinators, to ensure quality performance meets consultants' specifications and clients' requirements.
4. Attend all project site CCM meetings and resolve technical issues.
5. Ensure timely submission of M&E shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements must be approved and in line with M&E master schedule deadline.
6. Oversee and guide all M&E staff, supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials, and method statements.
7. Check site M&E Variation Order and report M&E progress or problem to HQ.
8. Attend site M&E inspection, quality check and troubleshoot site M&E system technical issues or problems arise at site.
9. Study and review consultant technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and design intent to identify and resolve discrepancies related to M&E matters. Issue RFIs to relevant consultants or resolve with the consultant team / client.
10. Manage M&E monthly meeting, involve, control, coordinate, and oversee M&E matters in their full spectrum.
11. Attend and resolve M&E issues during the DLP period.
12. Involve in D&B project together with consultants and architects.
