Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Singapore is seeking a Facilities Management Officer. You will manage the Fault Reporting Centre, ensuring effective communication between maintenance staff and contractors, and monitor M&E equipment via the Building Automation System. A diploma or higher in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience are required. Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Fault Reporting Centre front desk and hotline for facilities and engineering support.
  • Receive fault reports from end users via telephone, email, and other channels, directing them to the appropriate maintenance staff for resolution.
  • Facilitate communication between maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely fault rectification.
  • Coordinate with specialist contractors for complex maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Create and assign Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Operate the Building Automation System (BAS) to monitor M&E equipment, manage alarms, and alert the maintenance team as needed.
  • Escalate major breakdowns to managers, engineers, and supervisors for immediate attention.
  • Assist in business continuity and emergency operations, including fire drills, power shutdowns, and disease outbreak responses, activating recall protocols when necessary.
  • Monitor and control access to plant rooms, issuing keys only to authorized personnel.
  • Oversee and report on the status of essential systems, including the pneumatic tube system, fire alarm system, public address system, and audio/video broadcast system.
  • Provide regular feedback to engineers and supervisors on fault status, servicing work, and recurring major failures.
  • Perform shift duties as required and complete additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC, or NITEC in a relevant Facilities Management (FM) discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Require to work on shifts.
  • Good communication skills and computer literate are an advantage.
