Job summary
A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to coordinate M&E designs, manage BIM sessions, and ensure compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3–5 years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this on-site role.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, ACMV, Fire Protection, and ELV system designs between consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Review and verify M&E shop drawings, ensuring proper coordination with Structural and Architectural layouts to avoid clashes and rework.
- Lead and manage coordination sessions with BIM modelers to develop an accurate and integrated combined services model.
- Ensure all M&E designs and installations comply with relevant authorities’ requirements, including SCDF, PUB, EMA, BCA, and NEA regulations.
- Prepare and review technical submissions, method statements, and builder shop drawings for approval by consultants and authorities.
- Coordinate equipment procurement, vendor selection, and technical datasheet reviews to ensure compliance with design and performance specifications.
- Attend site coordination meetings and work closely with site teams to resolve installation and technical issues efficiently.
- Support and monitor testing, commissioning, and handover documentation to ensure M&E systems are fully operational and compliant.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of design and site milestones.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination, preferably with a main contractor or design & build environment.
- Familiar with SCDF (FSSD) submissions, ACMV, MV/LV electrical, and ELV systems.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination, authority requirements, and construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of local codes, regulations and submission procedures (e.g., PUB, EMA, BCA, NEA, SCDF).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage design and site interfaces.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and other relevant engineering software.
