Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to supervise mechanical and electrical (M&E) works on site. The role involves ensuring works meet specifications, coordinating with subcontractors, and managing project timelines. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in main contracting, preferably in HDB projects.

Qualifications

• 5 years of working experience in main-con, preferably in HDB projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to specifications.
• Inform Project Director on technical/site problems.
• Supervise progress of M&E works on site.
• Coordinate sub-contractor's M&E work and ensure it's on schedule.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors on technical matters.
• Supervise and coordinate M&E services work to meet project timelines.
• Conduct M&E coordination with all specialist contractors.
• Carry out testing and commission of M&E work.
• Supervise day-to-day site works and manage sub-con progress.
• Handle project supervision and documentation.
• Manage M&E subcontractors’ submission of method statements and materials.

Education

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to specifications / drawings;
• Inform Project Director / Project Manager on any technical / site problems pertaining to M&E works;
• Supervise the progress of M&E works on site;
• Coordination of sub-contractor's M&E work and ensuring the work is on schedule.
• Work closely to the clients, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters
• Supervise and Coordinate M&E services work and work closely with other department staff to meet the project timelines
• Conduct in detailed, M&E coordination with all specialist contractors
• Carry out testing and commission of M&E work; Execute mechanical and electrical works in construction
• Supervise day-to-day site works and manage sub-con/in progress production planning & build.
• Handle the project supervision and documentation
• Manage M&E subcontractors’ submission of method statements, drawings, materials, samples, and work progress

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5 years of working experiences in main-con, preferably in HDB projects
