Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to oversee M&E works. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, a recognized engineering degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure all M&E works are performed on time, within budget and in compliance with all necessary standards, code of practice and safety regulations
• To liaise with authorities, consultants and other relevant parties for technical submittal and approval
• Inspection of M&E works and ensure quality control on site
• Responsible for the supervision & coordination of M&E works at project site
• Carry out drawing, works scheduling, material requisition, cost control, wastage control and documentation
• Attend site technical, coordination and safety meeting
• Take charge of M&E tender including taking-off and costing
• Review project specifications and technical clarifications

Job Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering duly recognised by Professional Engineer Board of Singapore and accepted universities within the BCA listing
• At least 3 years relevant working experience in local construction industry
• Self-motivated, independent and good interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in managing multiple projects with tight timeline
• Proficient in M&E AutoCAD
• Understand main contract /subcontract requirement
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate efficiently with clients, consultants and colleagues
