Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage M&E installations and coordinate with different trade teams. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. You will supervise installation teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure timely completion of works while resolving design issues. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works.
• Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications.
• Able to read and understand CAD and Revit/Navisworks in 3D.

Job description

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

• To work and co‑ordinate with design/construction teams for all M&E installation and system requirement matters.
• To attend E&M Co‑ordination Meetings and write Minutes of Meeting.
• To co‑ordinate with Civil/BIM teams & all SWC for station and viaduct CCSM/SEM drawings and submissions.
• Review project specifications, technical clarifications and construction drawings.
• Manage in‑house E&M sub‑contractors’ work to ensure shop drawing and services are well co‑ordinated to suit sequence and installation.
• Supervise and lead an installation team on E&M services installation in construction environment.
• To check M&E drawings and highlight if there are discrepancies and/or conflicts with the architectural and structural element.
• To prepare progress report.
• To coordinate between sub‑contractors and project team to ensure smooth delivery of work including resolution of design and construction issues.
• Follow up on necessary rectification work & other follow up tasks.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
2. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi).
3. Understand contract requirement and M&E specification.
4. Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise and push for M&E works to be completed timely with relevant stakeholders.
5. Able to read and understand CAD, Revit/Navisworks software services in 3D model is essential.
6. Able to manage and solve complex problems at site.
7. Understand all the essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections.
8. Independent, self‑motivated, proactive with a positive attitude.
