Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore invites an Executive/Senior Engineer, Innovation & Analytics to transform traffic operations with data-driven solutions. You will translate complex data into dashboards and actionable insights for road asset management.

The role requires a tertiary degree in data science, engineering or CS and at least 3 years’ experience, with strong Python/SQL skills and GIS/data-visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS) and data visualization software (Tableau or PowerBI).
• Strong problem-solving, organised and communicative abilities.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good writing, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or knowledge of smart technologies and data-driven traffic operations is a plus.

[What you will be working on]

• We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team to transform traffic operations and road assets management through data-driven solutions and innovative technologies. This role combines analytical expertise and ops-tech integration skills to enhance the reliability, performance and sustainability of our road network.
• You will have the opportunity to drive meaningful change through integrating advanced data analytics and geo-spatial insights into operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their concept of operations, data analytics needs, and translate complex data into user-friendly dashboards, compelling insights and actionable strategies that reshape how we manage our road assets and traffic.
• You will have the opportunity to manage innovation and data-driven projects which includes application research and product developments.
• You will collaborate with internal divisions, external academia and industry partners to explore technologies to transform the way we work. You are required to keep abreast of advancements in smart technologies, big data and other intelligent tools to enhance traffic operations and road asset management practices.

[What we are looking for]
