Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a road asset steward to manage road assets through detailed planning, coordinating administration, tender, delivery and control of maintenance works. You will work with LTA officers, consultants and contractors on inspection, maintenance, upgrading and renewal works, and handle public feedback while managing site matters and incidents.

We value knowledge in Civil or Structural Engineering, experience in road projects, familiarity with road

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in road design, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with road materials such as asphalt, reinforced concrete and steel preferred.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and review workflows, regulations, guidelines for road asset maintenance.
• Coordinate inspection, maintenance, upgrading and renewal works with officers, consultants and contractors.
• Manage daily operation and maintenance of road assets.
• Prepare and issue instructions/work service orders to contractors and consultants.
• Handle public feedback and manage site matters/incidents.
• Conduct audits and use technology tools to manage maintenance with a data-driven mindset.

[What the role is]

You will become a road asset steward to manage our roads through detailed planning and coordinating the administration, tender, management, delivery and control of roads and road facilities maintenance works.

[What you will be working on]

You will be working to

• Establish, implement and review workflows, regulations, guidelines as well as practices on related road asset maintenance works;
• Work with LTA officers, consultants and contractors on inspection, maintenance, upgrading and renewal works;
• Managing the daily operation and maintenance of road assets;
• Preparing and issuing instructions / work service orders to contractors and consultants;
• Handling public feedback;
• Managing site matters / incidents;
• Conducting audits; and
• Use technology tools and systems to manage road asset maintenance works with a data driven mindset.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience in the following will be an advantage e.g. road design, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance, and material testing
• Good knowledge of construction materials such as asphalt, reinforced concrete, steel etc. preferred
• Good writing and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
• Strong interest in technology and data analysis
• Passion for innovation and willing to learn new skills
