Job summary

Public Service Division seeks an Executive Engineer/ Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) to work on MRT and depot equipment projects, including rolling stock and specialised maintenance vehicles. You will develop technical specifications and review supplier submissions, coordinating with cross-functional teams within LTA and contractors to support project stages.

[What the role is]

EXECUTIVE ENGINEER/ ENGINEER (ELETRICAL/MECHANICAL), ROLLING STOCK AND DEPOT ENGINEERING

[What you will be working on]

You will work with a team of engineers focusing on engineering aspects of Rolling Stock and depot equipment. The projects you will be working on include MRT trains, LRT trains, specialised track maintenance vehicles (locomotives, wagons, rail grinding vehicles, etc.), rail depot equipment (automatic train wash plant, automatic storage retrieval system, underfloor wheel-lathe, etc.) and bus depot equipment (automatic bus wash system, bus testing and maintenance equipment, etc.)

You will have the opportunities to work on developing technical specifications, reviewing design submissions from suppliers and exploring engineering initiatives to improve reliability, operation and maintenance of the Rolling Stock and depot equipment. You will also need to work closely with cross functional teams from different disciplines within LTA, as well as with Railway Operators and contractors to provide support to project teams at various stages.

• Knowledge in Electrical / Electronic /Mechanical Engineering
• Good appreciation of the MRT system complexity and interface requirements. Eagerness to learn and interest in developing expertise in engineering design of Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment
• A team player who is analytical, resourceful and results-oriented
• Self-drive and initiative to learn and work independently towards the common goal
• Willingness to get hands-on experience for site works.
• Able to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays
• Available for overseas travel for train testing and quality inspection
• Good communication, presentation and inter-personal skills
