Job summary

Public Service Division seeks a Senior/Executive Engineer (Data Standards and Information) to join the asset management team in developing an integrated Rail Asset Data Management system.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including LTA, rail operators, contractors, and system manufacturers to ensure seamless system integration and high data quality across the rail network.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge in engineering disciplines related to electrical/electronics/computer science or sustainable infrastructure.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Able to work in a collaborative cross-functional environment and independently when required.
• Familiarity with IT networks, servers, data storage, cloud technologies, and big data is a plus.
• Experience with railway system design, operation, and BIM processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated Rail Asset Data Management with a focus on asset performance and condition.
• Collaborate with LTA teams, rail operators, contractors, and system manufacturers for system integration.
• Ensure data quality requirements are defined, validated, cleansed, enriched, and monitored to maintain data integrity and reliability.
• Define and monitor data quality standards and metrics; implement corrective actions as necessary.

[LTA-RAOM] SENIOR / EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (DATA STANDARDS AND INFORMATION)

[What you will be working on]

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable individual to join our asset management team in the development of an integrated Rail Asset Data Management. This role will be instrumental in achieving a comprehensive understanding of railway assets, including their performance and condition, to support our asset management functions.

As a key member of the team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from various disciplines within LTA, rail operators, contractors, and system manufacturers to ensure seamless integration of the Rail Asset Data Management with various systems across the rail network.

Moreover, you will play an essential role in ensuring data quality requirements are met and operationalized for the Rail Asset Data Management. This includes understanding and implementing best practices for data quality assurance, such as data cleansing, validation, and enrichment techniques. You will work closely with stakeholders to define data quality standards, monitor data quality metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high levels of data integrity and reliability within the framework.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowleddge in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with critical and logical thinking skills, able to work independently when necessary.
• Familiarity with IT network and infrastructure, including experience with servers, data storage implementation, IT applications, cloud technologies, and big data technologies is a plus.
• Previous experience in railway system design, operation, and maintenance will be an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes or data standards will be an added advantage.
