Job summary

Land Transport Authority in Singapore seeks a Principal/Senior Engineer (Building Information Modelling & Digital Engineering) to spearhead BIM and digital transformation across infrastructure projects. You will develop standards, govern models, and drive adoption with project teams, consultants, and contractors.

You will lead the design through construction lifecycle, ensuring information management aligns with international norms and agency requirements, while staying abreast of evolving BIM

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil/Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment or related disciplines.
• Experience in BIM implementation, coordination or digital delivery.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with BIM governance, information management and project information requirements.

Responsibilities

What the role is:

PRINCIPAL/ SENIOR ENGINEER (BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING & DIGITAL ENGINEERING)

What you will be working on:

Implementation, governance and promote adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Engineering practices across LTA's infrastructure projects. The role focuses on enhancing project delivery, information management, collaboration and engineering outcomes through the effective application of BIM standards, processes, and technologies.

The engineer will work closely with project teams, consultants and contractors to drive BIM excellence and digital transformation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop, implement and continuously improve BIM standards, workflows, templates and governance frameworks.
• Support project teams in BIM execution planning, model coordination and digital delivery.
• Review BIM deliverables and ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Establish and maintain information management practices in accordance with organisational and project requirements.
• Drive BIM adoption and capability development among internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaboration between project teams, consultants and contractors throughout the design and construction stages.
• Promote digital engineering initiatives that improve design quality, productivity and project outcomes.
• Monitor emerging BIM technologies, industry developments and best practices for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment or other relevant disciplines.
• Experience in engineering consultancy, design development, construction or infrastructure project delivery.
• Practical experience in BIM implementation, coordination or digital delivery.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams within major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Familiarity with BIM governance, information management and project information requirements.

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of BIM methodologies and digital delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and information management principles.
• Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • BIM Collaborate Pro
  • Navisworks
  • Civil 3D
  • Bentley OpenRail
  • Bentley OpenBuildings
  • Bentley OpenTunnel

Preferred Competencies

• Experience in BIM standards development and governance.
• Knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) principles.
• Experience in digital engineering transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to model-based review, coordination and construction workflows.
• Basic scripting or automation capability using tools such as Dynamo or Python.
