Job summary

Tower Research Capital, a leading quantitative trading firm, seeks an experienced Production Engineer to provide Level 1 and 2 support for in-house trading applications. The role focuses on building automated workflows, modernizing monitoring, and collaborating with traders and core developers to ensure platform reliability.

You will work within a reliability-focused team, handling on-call duties and overseeing automated deployments, with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production engineering or high-availability support.
• Strong engineering mindset with Python and Bash scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
• Deep knowledge of Linux, SQL, configuration management, Git, and deployment pipelines.
• Proven ability to debug distributed outages under time pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication bridging engineering teams and trading desks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support for in-house trading applications.
• Automate repetitive issues and build tooling for robust infrastructure.
• Modernize monitoring, alerting, and reporting for platform health.
• Collaborate with reliability team as a key contact for traders and developers.
• Oversee automated deployments and participate in on-call rotations, including weekends.
