Job summary

Reactive Markets Limited is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to build low-latency trading infrastructure on Linux. The role is hybrid and based in Singapore, with full-time employment.

You will work on the Switchboard trading platform, including pricing engines, connectivity gateways, and market-data systems. You will own features from design through production, handle incidents, and contribute to high-availability systems in a collaborative, senior team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ with Linux systems programming (3+ years)
• Experience with performance-sensitive systems (profiling, optimisation)
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, sockets)
• Go experience is a strong bonus; used for microservices and tooling
• Python for scripting, automation, testing, and data workflows
• Git and shell scripting
• Experience in financial services/trading tech is a plus but not essential

Responsibilities

• Develop low-latency trading infrastructure and core components on Linux
• Own full lifecycle from design to production support
• Implement, test, deploy, and monitor features in production environments
• Respond to incidents and participate in on-call during critical events
• Collaborate across the engineering team across time zones
