SHINGDA CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Class 4 tipper lorry driver in Singapore.

The role involves safely operating tipper lorries to transport construction materials, loading using hydraulic systems, and ensuring loads are secured and balanced for safe transportation. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues, and maintaining safety gear and vehicle upkeep.

Qualifications

• Class 4 driving license is required.
• Safety certificate is required.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Construction or minimum 4 years with coretrade.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating the tipper lorry to transport materials.
• Loading and unloading materials using the hydraulic system.
• Ensuring the load is properly secured and balanced.
• Following all traffic laws, regulations and company policies.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Reporting any mechanical issues or damages to the vehicle.
• Ensuring safety gear is present in the vehicle.
• Performing basic maintenance checks (oil, tire, brakes).
• Keeping the vehicle clean and regularly serviced.
• Complying with weight limits and hazardous materials regulations.
• Ensuring permits and licenses are up to date.
• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/Engineer/Project Manager.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Class 4 Tipper Lorry Driver (Heavy-truck Driver)

• Safely operating the tipper lorry to transport materials such as sand, gravel, earth, or other construction-related materials from one location to another.

• Loading and unloading materials using the hydraulic system of the tipper lorry.

• Ensuring the load is properly secured and balanced to prevent accidents or spills during transportation.

• Following all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

• Reporting any mechanical issues or damages to the vehicle immediately for repairs.

• Ensuring that the vehicle is equipped with safety gear, such as reflective vests, warning triangles, and fire extinguishers.

• Performing basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brake systems.

• Keeping the vehicle clean and ensuring it is regularly serviced and inspected according to company guidelines.

• Complying with local regulations regarding weight limits, hazardous materials transportation, and other relevant laws.

• Ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are up to date and carried in the vehicle.

• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/Engineer/Project Manager.

Requirements:

1. Holding valid class 4 driving license.

2. Holding valid safety certificate.

3. At least 6 years working experience in Construction or at least 4 years working experience with coretrade.

4. Class 4 driving licence 2 years complete and minimum 1 year tipper lorry driving experience in Singapore.
