Job summary

ADVINES HR CONSULTANCY PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable Lorry Driver to transport goods, maintain schedules, and ensure deliveries are intact as requested by customers.

You will be responsible for vehicle maintenance, securing loads, planning efficient routes, updating logs, and complying with MOT and internal rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance during breakdowns in transit.
• Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport.
• Organising the most efficient route from pickup to drop-off.
• Keeping informed of road closures, accidents and diversions.
• Organising multiple drop-offs and deliveries in a day.
• Supervising and assisting with loading and unloading deliveries into the lorry.
• Updating vehicle log books, recording deliveries and tracking mileage.
• Complying with MOT and in-house regulations and rules.

Job Description & Requirements

A Lorry Driver is responsible for the goods they are assigned to transport. They are responsible for keeping to a schedule and ensuring that the goods are delivered intact, without damages and as requested by the customer. A Lorry Driver's main duties and responsibilities include:

• Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthy
• Performing basic repairs and maintenance in the event of accident or breakdown while in transit
• Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport
• Organising the most efficient route from pickup point to drop off point
• Keeping informed of road closures, accidents and traffic diversions
• Organising multiple drop-offs and deliveries in each working day
• Supervising and assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorry
• Updating vehicle log books, recording deliveries and tracking mileage
• Complying with all MOT and in-house regulations and rules
