Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is seeking an experienced lorry crane operator. You will be responsible for operating the crane, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and interacting with customers for accurate material movement. Prior experience and safety compliance knowledge are critical for this role. This position requires reliability and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorry crane to lift, move or reposition loads safely and precisely.
• Listen and carry out instructions from ground crew or helpers via radio communication or hand signals.
• Direct helpers to position outriggers and blocks properly to prevent capsizing during heavy load lifting.
• Inspect, rig, and ensure that rigging applications are configured in accordance with the load chart and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assess loads to determine their weight and compare it against lifting capacity to prevent risk of overload.
• Interact closely with customer for accurate movement of materials and equipment.
• Inspect, clean and perform operator level maintenance in crane mechanism and hoisting components.
• Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Arrange for periodic maintenance of vehicle/equipment or when vehicle/equipment malfunctions.
• Follow related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures.
• Provide report of work operations by completing relevant paperwork.
• Other ad-hoc assignments assigned by superior.
