Job summary

A leading logistics company in Singapore is looking for a candidate to supervise operational excellence across domestic and international business units. The role requires oversight of day-to-day logistics operations, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in logistics or operations, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Expertise in MS Office and familiarity with ERP/TMS systems are advantageous.

Qualifications

Job description

Supervise operational excellence across domestic and international business units in APAC for time-critical logistics. Work with cross-functional teams to optimise logistics, ensure compliance, and enhance profitability while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for time-critical logistics and client service activities. Monitor key performance indicators (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per shipment) and implement corrective actions promptly.
Resource & Cost Management
  • Support budgeting and cost-control efforts within the assigned operational scope.
  • Provide accurate operational data for monthly reporting and assist in variance analysis.
Team Supervision
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of operations staff to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members; provide feedback and guidance to maintain performance standards.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements (DOT, IATA, customs).
  • Promote safety practices and participate in audits and risk assessments.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
