Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Manage and monitor inventory levels of spare parts and accessories to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstocking. This includes conducting regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Shipping and Receiving: Supervise daily inbound (receiving and inspecting goods from vendors) and outbound (picking, packing, and dispatching orders to customers) operations.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with the sales and customer service departments to track orders and ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment for both walk-in and online customers.
- Transportation Coordination: Schedule pickups and deliveries with various transportation companies, optimizing routes and selecting cost-effective and reliable carriers.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate logistics reports, metrics (KPIs), and shipping documentation for management review and compliance with regulations.
- Warehouse Organization and Safety: Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe, enforcing company safety regulations and managing the maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts).
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, mentor, and schedule warehouse staff and drivers, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Communicate and build relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing logistics processes and implement strategies and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements
- Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or inventory management, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- The ability to handle and move motor vehicle parts, which can be heavy, may be necessary.
