Job summary

A global aviation services company in Singapore is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support logistics functions such as material procurement and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in supply chain, strong communication skills, and knowledge of logistics processes. A Higher Nitec or equivalent is required along with licenses for Class 3 and forklift operation. The role demands accountability and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Timely execution in Goods Receipt, Goods Issuance, and Put-away.

  • Prepare outbound dispatch for returns as per instructions.

Position Summary

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be supporting the logistics function in material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate execution in Goods Receipt, Goods Issuance and Put-away function.
  • Exercise due diligence and care when handling materials, ensuring all documentations and certifications attached.
  • All task performed must be promptly updated in the ERP system to maintain system data integrity and traceability.
  • Outbound dispatch for returns to be prepared in accordance to the nature of the material and instructions.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
  • Higher Nitec, Diploma or Equivalent
  • Job relevant vocational training/ technical apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a Supply Chain Function
  • Solid knowledge of Logistics processes in Supply Chain Management
  • Sound knowledge on handling Dangerous Goods(DG)
  • Good communication skills
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Class 3 license and forklift license
  • Knowledge in SAP system is a plus.

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
