The Logistics Specialist will support one of our Key Account in the cruise vertical and plays an essential role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods and supplies needed for the daily operation and service of a cruise vessel. This role is responsible for the coordination of shipments, overseeing the loading and unloading of goods, liaising with third-party vendors, and collaborating with warehouse providers and port agents. By upholding rigorous standards within supply chain operations, the Logistics Specialist ensures the efficient and seamless execution of all provision shipments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the timely shipment, delivery, loading, and unloading of supplies and provisions required for cruise vessel operations. Monitor shipment schedules and ensure alignment with cruise itineraries and turnaround times at the port.
- Conduct routine visits to third-party vendors to inspect goods, verify adherence to company standards, and review quality. Serve as the direct point of contact for vendors regarding shipment status, delays, and service issues, maintaining constructive and professional relationships.
- Work closely with third-party warehouse providers and port agents to coordinate inventory management, timely delivery of goods, and compliance with port regulations. Ensure that warehouse staff and port agents are fully briefed on vessel requirements and shipping timelines.
- Identify and promptly elevate any logistical, shipment, or quality issues. Provide reports detailing the nature of the issue and any corrective actions taken.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, vendor visits, quality reviews, inventory movements, and any issues encountered. Ensure that all documentation meets compliance standards and company policies.

- Third-Party Vendors: Serve as the first line of communication for quality checks, delivery schedules, and compliance with standards.
- Warehouse Providers: Coordinate inventory storage, retrieval, and readiness for shipment.
- Port Agents: Work hand-in-hand to facilitate port clearances, delivery coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Possess knowledge of Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, coordinate schedules, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work irregular hours to support cruise vessel operations considering sailing schedules.
- Possess tertiary qualifications.
- Experience in warehouse and logistics operations, shipping coordination, preferably within the maritime, hospitality, or cruise industries.
- Possess experience in cruise logistical operations.
