Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations.
- Support import/export processes, shipment documentation, and delivery scheduling.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse receiving, storage, and dispatch processes, ensuring proper FIFO practices.
- Conduct inventory checks and monthly stock audits with the warehouse team.
- Monitor product movement, forecast procurement needs, and work with Sales to manage slow-moving or overstock items.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date system stock reports.
- Proactively identify potential out-of-stock or overstock situations.
- Ensure the warehouse remains organized, safe, and audit-ready at all times.
Tracking, Monitoring & Operational Visibility
- Manage shipment tracking to provide real-time updates from port to warehouse to final delivery.
- Ensure customers and internal teams receive timely and accurate status updates.
- Track container movements, ETD/ETA changes, and potential delays.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and support the warehouse team in resolving daily operational issues.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and coaching to build a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Customer Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipment status or delays.
- Handle escalations involving shipment delays, damages, or documentation issues.
- Collaborate with Sales to support pricing, service expectations, and product/service offerings.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in wholesale/retail trade
- Shipping experience is an advantage
- Strong understanding of warehousing, distribution and inventory management principles
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to optimise operations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a team to achieve operational excellence
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Must possess own vehicle
- Willing to travel to Malaysia occasionally
