Key Responsibilities:
  1. Logistics Planning and Coordination:
    Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    Plan and manage the overall supply chain process, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
    Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers and internal departments.
    Oversee transportation routes, schedules, and delivery timeliness to meet customer needs.
  2. Team Management:
    Lead, train, and supervise logistics personnel to ensure high-performance standards.
    Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring workloads are evenly distributed.
    Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for team development.
  3. Inventory Management:
    Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand.
    Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
    Develop and implement inventory control systems to reduce waste, loss, and inefficiencies.
  4. Supplier and Vendor Relationships:
    Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to ensure the best pricing, service, and reliability.
    Negotiate contracts and agreements with transportation providers and suppliers.
  5. Cost Management:
    Monitor logistics expenditures and develop cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality.
    Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring that costs remain within the approved limits.
    Analyze and report on logistics performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    Ensure that all logistics operations comply with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., transportation, customs, safety).
    Oversee the maintenance of accurate shipping documentation and records.
    Implement safety protocols and ensure that all logistics personnel adhere to safety regulations.
  7. Technology Integration:
    Use logistics software and other technology tools to monitor and optimize logistics operations.
    Maintain and update the company’s logistics systems, ensuring they remain current with industry best practices.
  8. Customer Service:
    Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve any logistics-related issues promptly.
    Provide support and solutions for any supply chain disruptions, delays, or damages.
  9. Shift Flexibility:
    Midnight Shifts: Manage logistics operations across various shifts, including late-night/overnight hours to ensure 24/7 functionality.
    Public Holidays: Be available to oversee logistics operations during public holidays as needed to meet critical deadlines, customer requirements, or peak demand periods.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
    Proven track record of managing teams and operations effectively.
    Experience with logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
    Ability to negotiate contracts and build strong vendor relationships.
    Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics management software.
  • Certifications (optional but preferred): Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP, or similar) is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • This position requires occasional travel for site visits, supplier meetings, or logistics coordination.
