Job summary

A global logistics leader in Singapore is seeking a logistics coordinator to oversee dry equipment planning and manage equipment distribution in the Far East. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Logistics Management, 1-2 years of experience in the container shipping industry, and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bilingual abilities are essential. Immediate availability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the Container Shipping industry.
  • Ability to look beyond numbers with attention to details.
  • Must be able to start work immediately or within short notice.

Overview

Mediterranean Shipping Company – Marina Centre

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all matters pertaining to dry equipment planning, reporting and ensuring cost efficiency in different aspects of the equipment flow.
  • Manage equipment distribution and control in Far East
  • Oversee and guide Far East agents regarding performance standards
  • Prepare, review, and verify container and costing reports
  • Supervise and regulate inventory levels to reduce terminal/depot storage costs
  • Maintain and analyze database records and container reports for cost management
Pre-requisites / Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Logistics Management, or its equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience in preferably Container Shipping industry
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Team player with a positive working attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess the abilities to look beyond numbers with attention to details
  • Must be bilingual
  • Ability to start work immediately or within short notice (added advantage)
