A recruitment firm is looking for a Material Control Specialist in Singapore to manage logistics operations and support service departments. The role involves coordinating material deliveries, managing inventory, and providing administrative support to the Service Department. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Logistics or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in similar roles. Familiarity with ERP and Microsoft Office is required, alongside strong communication skills.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for material planning during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Follow up on material readiness and expedite deliveries when required.
Arrange customs clearance and inland transportation for materials arriving from overseas.
Handle shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping marks.
Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and handling of materials at customer warehouses to ensure proper condition.
Manage serialized power plant parts inventory, track movement, and generate “roll-in-roll-out” reports.
Maintain inventory records for outage consumables and miscellaneous hardware, ensuring accurate stock levels and documentation.
Coordinate withdrawals of parts and consumables from warehouses and stage them for outages.
Prepare parts for return shipment to overseas repair facilities, including pre-packing and logistics documentation.
Coordinate with stakeholders on dispatching technical advisors for maintenance activities.
Support local arrangements for technical advisors, including work passes, visa applications, accommodation, transportation, training, permits, and site access.
Provide on-site administrative arrangements for outage teams, covering transport, meals, IT equipment, and other requirements.
Provide administrative and sales support to the Service Department.
Prepare agendas and minutes for LTSA meetings and follow up on action items.
Maintain accurate document control in Company Share Folders, Cabinets, Cloud System, and internal systems (e.g., Intramart).
Process orders, generate purchase orders, submit claims, request payments, manage invoicing, and monitor payment status.
Support ad-hoc projects and cross-functional tasks related to materials and service administration.
Maintain up-to-date customer data, sales records, and parts usage for reporting, including forecasts and monthly results.
Coordinate preparation of periodic reports and communication with customers.
Monitor customer after-sales needs and provide feedback to the team.
Undertake additional duties assigned by the Service Department.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, material control, or maintenance planning.
Experience in power, oil & gas, heavy machinery, maintenance services, or process plant industries is preferred.
Basic mechanical or rotating equipment knowledge is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willing and able to work at power plant sites (Jurong Island) during outage periods.
Training or certification in ERP, WMS, or Lean Six Sigma is an added advantage.
