A leading aerospace company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Logistics Assistant to ensure efficient shipment management. Responsibilities include verifying shipment content, assisting with packing, and operating material handling equipment. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, possess a Class 3 Driving License and Forklift License, and be comfortable using ERP systems. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Verify shipment content against shipping documents provided.
  • Reject damage items and record discrepancies.
  • Assist in material picking against pick list.
  • Assist in packing of outbound shipments.
  • Assist Logistics Officer in coordinating with logistics provider.
  • Visually inspect material for defects and report issues.
  • Operate various lifting and material handling equipment.
  • Deliver/collect goods using company vehicle.
  • Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all company and safety rules.

Job description

Verify shipment content against shipping documents provided.

Reject damage items and record discrepancies.

Assist in material picking against pick list.

Assist in packing of outbound shipments.

Assist Logistics Officer in coordinating with logistics provider on shipment collection.

Visual inspect material for defects and report these and any unusual situation immediately.

Operate lift trucks, hand trucks, forklifts, stackers, or any other lifting or material handling equipment/device to move, convey, or hoist materials or products, following the training provided.

Deliver/collect goods to/from assigned locations using company vehicle (adhoc assignment).

Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.

Assist in preparing shipping documents and arrangement of shipment (adhoc assisgnment).

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in ERP systems, lifting devices and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Ability to interpret job travelers and knowledge on outbound shipment packing and documentation.
  • Possess a Class 3 Driving License and Forklift License.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
