Job description

The Logistics Assistant provides vital support to the healthcare institution's logistics and supply chain functions. This role primarily involves handling the daily receiving, storing, distributing, and stock-taking of medical and general supplies.

Planning function include inventory management of stock and distribution, Purchase order status and follow up, updating of data in system.

The Logistics Assistant works closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure all departments have the necessary materials to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving and distribution
  • Receive, inspect and verify all incoming stock against purchase order and delivery note to ensure correct item received
  • Conduct receiving in system and uploading of delivery note into system.
  • Distribution of stock to various department accordingly
  • Pick and pack item for off-site location
  • Coordinate billing and invoice
  • Schedule of delivery to off-site location
  • Receive monthly damage/expire item for write off
Inventory and stock management
  • Assist with bi-annual stock take
  • Conduct weekly inventory level to identify and address stock shortage and top up.
  • Monitor inventory level and assisting in reordering process
  • Manage transfer of stock in system and update records.
  • Track and monitor outstanding purchase order to ensure timely and complete delivery of goods.
  • Ensure store room is organized, clean and proper storage of goods.
  • Perform other administrative and logistical duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Basic proficiency with computer system and software like excel, outlook and plato
  • Physical fit to carry out receiving and distribution activity
  • Attention to detail and accuracy for managing inventory and documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and delivery personnel.
