A healthcare regulatory authority in Singapore is seeking a temporary Locum Blood Professional Assistant to support blood collection operations in their blood bank. This role requires working up to 21 hours per week, including weekends and afternoon shifts. Responsibilities include donor registration, conducting haemoglobin tests, assisting phlebotomists, and supporting daily operations. Ideal candidates are those with relevant healthcare experience and a flexible schedule. Training will be provided for the position.

We are responsible for the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines, medical devices, blood and its products and all health-related products available in Singapore. We provide a comprehensive regulatory service for the evaluation and marketing approval of all therapeutic products. We also provide scientific, investigative and analytical support for vital governmental functions such as forensic expertise for the courts, drug and criminal investigations and the regulation of food safety and industrial and environmental health.
We are looking for a temporary staff to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Blood Resources Division. The appointee for this position will be a Locum Blood Professional Assistant who supports the blood collection operation in the blood bank. He/she is expected to commit up to 21 hours per week. The appointee may be deployed to any blood bank or mobile blood collection drive, depending on operation needs.
Training will be provided to the selected appointee. We welcome tertiary students and individuals with flexible schedule and able to commit to 21 hours per week to apply.
This position is intended to be on temporary contract, for up to 12 months. Successful appointee will be appointed under a contract by a recruitment agency. The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) applies medical, pharmaceutical and scientific expertise through its three professional groups, Health Products Regulation, Blood Services and Applied Sciences, to protect and advance national health and safety.
