Job summary

Energy Aspects is seeking a Head of LNG and EU gas to join our growing research team, based in either London or Singapore. This senior leader will steer the LNG and EU gas market views, lead a skilled team, and translate fast-moving developments into clear, actionable insights for clients, using strong analytical and communication skills.

You will maintain close dialogue with traders and industry contacts, develop short-term balances and market views, and represent Energy Aspects externally with

Qualifications

• Significant experience analysing gas markets and translating analysis into market views.
• Direct industry experience in gas; trading desk experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving markets and respond quickly to developments.
• Established network of gas market contacts and ability to maintain dialogue with market participants.
• Strong commercial judgement and understanding of what matters to traders and clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with conviction.
• High level of English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robust LNG import/export forecasts and EU gas balances.
• Maintain close dialogue with traders and industry participants to test views and gather intelligence.
• Translate analysis and data into clear, actionable client views.
• Drive timely analysis of market-moving events and produce short, high-conviction views for clients.
• Write scheduled and ad-hoc reports focusing on supply-demand fundamentals and pricing dynamics.
• Review and improve modelling and analytics across London and Singapore teams.
• Present LNG and EU gas views to clients via presentations, conferences, and direct responses.
• Represent Energy Aspects externally with media and the market.
